Our program is perfect for women desiring substance use and mental health treatment while maintaining their residence in familiar environments.

Vivian Rubio

– Program Manager

Clients in the Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program receive:

Personalized care through individual therapy and counseling, including comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for co-occurring mental health disorders.
A program is grounded in Evidence-Based Practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, with an underlying expertise in Trauma-Informed Care.
Clinicians who take an Experiential Approach to healing, offering psychodrama, breathwork, yoga, reiki, meditation, expressive arts, and other holistic modalities that foster well-being and resilience.
A care team who acknowledges the significance of viewing substance use and recovery through a Multicultural Lens. We delve into topics such as epigenetics, patriarchy, and societal stressors, providing a safe space for participants to explore how these factors intersect with their experience.

The benefits of Friendly House’s Women’s Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program include:

Tailored Treatment for Women

Our gender-specific IOP recognizes that women may have different experiences and needs than men when it comes to substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Our program is designed to address these unique challenges through specialized treatment modalities, including trauma-informed care, gender-specific therapy, and holistic approaches to healing.

Safe and Supportive Environment

In our women’s-only IOP, you’ll find a safe and welcoming space where you can share your experiences, connect with peers who understand your journey, and receive support from compassionate professionals. This environment fosters trust, camaraderie, and empowerment, enhancing the effectiveness of your treatment.

Comprehensive Care for Dual Diagnosis

Many women who struggle with substance use also experience co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. Our women’s-only IOP provides comprehensive care that addresses both addiction and mental health simultaneously, helping you achieve lasting recovery and emotional wellness.

Our IOP allows you to receive high-quality treatment while maintaining your daily responsibilities, such as work, school, or family obligations. With flexible scheduling options, including evening and weekend sessions, you can access the support you need to thrive in recovery without disrupting your life.

Holistic Approach to Healing

At Friendly House, we believe in treating the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. Our women’s-only IOP integrates evidence-based therapies with holistic approaches to healing, including mindfulness practices, yoga, art therapy, and nutritional counseling. These modalities promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, empowering you to live a balanced and fulfilling life in recovery.

In our women’s-only IOP, you’ll learn valuable skills and coping strategies that you can apply to all areas of your life.
