Our Mission, Our Values, Our People
At Friendly House, we have always believed in attraction rather than promotion. For that reason, some may say we have been quiet about our work for most of our history. The reason is simple: We've been busy helping women rebuild their lives.
But as the need for women's treatment grows more urgent, it’s vital that we share the stories that capture what happens here. These press pieces show what makes our community different: women from all walks of life finding strength together, dedicated staff who've lived this journey themselves, and a half-century commitment to dignity and real change — a snapshot of the daily work of healing and hope.
